Quality Improvement, the ABMS Portfolio Program, and the New ABMS Standards for Continuing Certification (ABMS Staff)

How will the new ABMS Standards (2024) impact physicians and Quality Improvement programs in hospitals and health care systems?

This intensive, half-day workshop will focus on the improvement component of continuing certification. The afternoon will start with initial remarks-style presentations by ABMS leadership and ABMS Member Board staff, then we will transition to dynamic group discussions and small-group activities with the goal of providing participants with action-oriented outcomes.

The workshop is targeted to current Sponsors in the ABMS Portfolio Program, as well as anyone who is interested in this topic and learning about how the Portfolio Program can be a catalyst for physician engagement in QI work.

In addition, staff from ABMS Member Boards will find value in learning more about how their diplomates engage in improvement work, as well as how Portfolio Programs work in real-world scenarios.
